Alex Wenger wurde 1975 in Baar in der Schweiz geboren. Er hat schon früh seinen Weg zur Elektronik gefunden. Bereits als Kind verstand er es, defekten Geräten neues Leben einzuhauchen und aus ihnen allerhand Neues entstehen zu lassen. In Karlsruhe hat er zunächst Physik und anschließend Technische Informatik als Diplom-Ingenieur studiert.
Seit seiner Mitgründung des Entropia e.V. im Jahr 1999 experimentiert er dort beständig an elektronischen Gerätschaften und Kunstwerken diverser art, und begeistert dabei auch andere, teilzunehmen oder eigene Projekte zu verwirklichen.
